Hawk Island offers a snow tubing hill and snow tubes are included in the rental fee. Both sections of the hill will be groomed specifically for tubing, with two rope tows located between the two areas. Rope tows pull riders to the top of the hill to travel down "chutes" made of sculpted snow. Snow making machines will be used to extend the time the snow tubing hill can be used. There is also a warming building and snack bar. In addition, the 1.5 mile paved path around the lake and the River Trail South between Hawk Island Park and Potter Park is cleared of snow and is available for walking or jogging.
