Please note there is a vehicle entrance fee at Hawk Island. Hawk Island Park will provide anyone access to winter snow sports within the city limits of Lansing, Michigan. This unique, active sports facility – one of a handful in the U.S. – will be an incredible community asset serving multicultural urban youth, their families, our neighbors and visitors. Anyone can come to Hawk Island to experience snow tubing fun and winter fun!

Hawk Island offers a snow tubing hill and snow tubes are included in the rental fee.  The hill will be groomed specifically for tubing and riders will travel down "chutes" made of sculpted snow. We have a magic carpet which is an uphill lift that transports riders to the top of the hill and is comprised of a large moving conveyor belt.  Snow making machines will be used to extend the time the snow tubing hill can be used.  Annual passes are not available. There is also a warming building and snack bar. In addition, the 1.5 mile paved path around the lake and the River Trail South between Hawk Island Park and Potter Park is cleared of snow and is available for walking or jogging.

Winter Snack Bar

Hawk Island has a small concession area offering hot chocolate, coffee, pop, candy, and chips.
