From the cool wooded groves, lush green grasses and clear waters of summer to the glistening cross-country ski trails and thrilling sled runs of winter, the Ingham County Parks offer year-round activities for its visitors and residents.

Located just minutes from the heart of Lansing, more than 1,200 acres of out-standing Ingham County parkland are devoted to sports and recreation.  Enjoy the quiet simplicity of a picnic overlooking Lake Lansing or a day canoeing along the scenic banks of the Grand River at Burchfield Park.  Spend an afternoon looking for wildflowers,  hiking nature trails, or playing in the water at Hawk Island's Splash Pad ® we have something every can enjoy!

Sports enthusiasts can crack home runs at any of the three ball diamonds, toss a ringer at horseshoes, spike a volleyball across a net, or dunk a basketball.  Most Ingham County Parks remain open year-round (call 517-676-2233 for winter hours).  Cross Country ski trails and a snow tubing hill is available for those who relish the great outdoors in the winter.   From the brilliant fall colors along the wooded trails of the Riverbend Natural Area to the sizzling summer beaches of Lake Lansing Park South and Hawk Island County Park, your Ingham County Parks can make any day of the year a play day!
