Lake Lansing Band Shell

Welcome to Mid-Michigan's premier outdoor musical venue! Situated on the shores of Lake Lansing and surrounded by beautiful perennial flowerbeds and an oak grove, the Lake Lansing Band Shell is a multi-use facility capable of accommodating performances, plays, concerts, religious functions and other family-oriented cultural and social events.

The Band Shell is also home to free Friday evening performances in June, July and August. All Friday evening performances begin at 7:00 p.m. Click here for a schedule of the free Friday Night Concerts in the summer. The Lake Lansing Band Shell Committee works diligently over the winter to bring you a varied schedule that will appeal to all within the Mid Michigan Community. The Band Shell is next to the tyke track and playground at Lake Lansing Park South--with an inflatable bouncy-house and giant slide available during the concert--making for a family-friendly environment that serves visitors of all ages. Grab your picnic baskets and lawn chairs and we will see you this summer!

If your band is interested in performing on a Friday evening in June, July or August please click HERE for requirements. Information should be received by October to be reviewed by the Band Shell Committee in November/December. The summer schedule is generally set in January.

From I-96, take the Okemos Rd. exit, then go 5 miles north on Okemos Rd.; turn east on Lake Lansing Rd. to Marsh Rd. Turn left onto Marsh Rd, then right at the light at Pike Street. The vehicle entrance to the park is off Marsh Road on Pike Street. There is a pedestrian entrance to the park on the northeast corner of Marsh and Lake Lansing roads.

From downtown Lansing, go east 5.4 miles on Saginaw Highway (M-43); go 1.7 miles east on Lake Lansing Road to Marsh Road.
