Park Updates

Winter Sports Status: the Hawk Island snow tubing hill and winter sports at Burchfield Park and Lake Lansing North are closed for the season.Thank you for a great season! 

Lake Lansing North - Park Improvements Coming Soon: Upgrades will include the entrance road, restrooms and accessibility. There will be some park closures along the way and we ask that you use alternative sites to park and access the park during the construction periods of the project. The entrance will be closed tentatively the week of April 8th-12th for road repair (possibly longer). The restrooms will remain closed through June. Port-a-johns are available at both restroom locations. Please stay away from any fenced-off areas while projects are under construction. 

Riverbend Park: the park is currently closed due to the condition of the parking lot.

Shelter Rentals: Ingham County Parks have picnic shelters that accommodate 50 to 375 people.  Learn which shelter will best meet your group’s needs by calling the parks office or click HERE to review shelter prices, seating accommodations, and pictures of the shelters. Reservations can be made by calling 517-676-2233 Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:30pm (the office is closed at lunch from 12-1pm).

Be a Park Patron! New Fundraiser for Park Pride! The Friends of Ingham County Parks has launched the Park Patron program. You can show your pride in your county parks by becoming an official Park Patron. Click HERE to order your $100 membership, you will receive a large, deluxe parking pass that lets you in to all county parks and shows your pride and helps us do great projects! Your $100 Patrons membership gets you an annual parking pass, a year long membership in the Friends of Ingham County Parks and lets us raise money for exciting park projects!

Fishing Derby & Mason Optimist Youth Sports Day

Burchfield County Park
Registration begins at 8am at the park with the fishing derby starting at 9am and ending at 12pm.  The outdoor fair will end at 4pm.  Ingham County Parks offers a fishing derby for youth age 4-16 years of age.  All youth must be accompanied by an adult.  Please bring your own fishing gear.

The Mason Optimist Youth Sports Event sponsors the outdoor fair.  Activities include rainbow trout fishing, air rifle shooting, archery instruction, disc golf, kayaking, canoeing, fly-tying and lure-making, bicycle safety instruction, Potter Park Zoo animal exhibits, etc. A free lunch is provided for all children in attendance.

Participation in the derby and outdoor fair is free.  Parking fee of $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents.

2019 Annual Park Passes Available

Annual 2019 passes, for Ingham County residents are available for $32.  2019 annual passes are valid from purchase date until December 31, 2019.   Non-Ingham County residents passes are $42.   Annual passes are available at all park gatehouses and in the parks office at 121 E. Maple St., Mason. There is a daily per vehicle entrance fee year-round of $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, Lake Lansing Park-North, and Lake Lansing Park-South.  No vehicle entrance fees will be collected one hour prior to the Friday night Band Shell concert at Lake Lansing Park-South.  Ingham County welcomes everyone to our parks.  If paying the vehicle entrance fee would be a hardship, please ask the attendant to waive the fee with a hardship pass.
