Park Updates

Holiday Hours: the parks will be open on July 4th from 8am to 1/2 hour after sunset. See below links for more information on rental hours and park activities.

The administrative office will be closed on July 4th and will re-open on July 5th.

Beach/Pedal Boat/Rowboat Rentals: the beaches at Hawk Island, Lake Lansing South and Burchfield Park, the Hawk Island Splash Pad, and boat rental is open for the season, weather permitting. Canoe/Kayak Trips: the McNamara and Bunker Road Landing canoe/kayak trips are open for the season at Burchfield Park. Click HERE for trip times and more information. The Eaton Rapids canoe/kayak trips are currently closed due to downed trees and blockages on the river. 

Grand River Obstruction: There is an obstruction on the Grand River at the bridge near the Old English Inn blocking access. Please portage around the obstruction. This is a danger for all levels of kayakers and canoers. Click HERE for photos of the obstruction.

Shelter Rentals: Ingham County Parks have picnic shelters that accommodate 50 to 375 people.  Learn which shelter will best meet your group’s needs by calling the parks office or click HERE to review shelter prices, seating accommodations, and pictures of the shelters. Reservations can be made by calling 517-676-2233 Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:30pm (the office is closed at lunch from 12-1pm).

2018 Annual Park Passes Available

Annual 2018 passes, for Ingham County residents are available for $32.  2018 annual passes are valid from purchase date until December 31, 2018.   Non-Ingham County residents passes are $42.   Annual passes are available at all park gatehouses and in the parks office at 121 E. Maple St., Mason. There is a daily per vehicle entrance fee year-round of $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, Lake Lansing Park-North, and Lake Lansing Park-South.  No vehicle entrance fees will be collected one hour prior to the Friday night Band Shell concert at Lake Lansing Park-South.  Ingham County welcomes everyone to our parks.  If paying the vehicle entrance fee would be a hardship, please ask the attendant to waive the fee with a hardship pass.
