Park Updates

  • Canoeing & Kayaking ~ The McNamara Landing one hour canoe/kayak trip is open.  Walk up trips or reservations are available on weekdays from 11am-5:30pm and weekends from 9am-5:30pm.  The rental fee is $12 per boat.  The Bunker Road and Eaton Rapids Landing trips are closed due to debris and downed trees in the river.  Click HERE for more information.

  • Burchfield Disc Golf Course FUNdraiser ~ May 20th at 8:30am – 9:45am registration/check-in, 9:45am players meeting, 10:00am tee.  Contact: Matt Rinker – rinkermatt@gmail.com
    This event is a full-fledged FUNdraiser to help us get the 9 more baskets we need to complete the new, heavily wooded, technical, long, fair and fun course Damian Redman and Matt Rinker designed. 8 of the new holes will be in play for this event, so not only is this your chance to help us complete this epic project, but you get to get a little taste of it as well. Amateurs - Every penny of your entry fee goes to the New course, all prizes are donated! Pros- $20 of your $40 goes to the course, the rest comes back in payouts. The Capital City Renegades Disc Golf Club is kicking in some discs and shirts and the Parks department is throwing in some annual disc golf passes as prizes… plus we have more to come.   • Disc Golf ~ is open for play year-round at Burchfield Park.  We are currently building a second 18 hole disc golf course.  We are in need of hole sponsors, basket donations, benches, trees and shrubs for the course.  If you are interested in sponsoring a hole or donating a basket, trees, or shrubs contact the park office at 517-676-2233 ext 5,4. and leave a message and the park manager will return your call.  Click HERE for details!

What You Need to Know

There will be a per vehicle entrance fee year-round of $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents Thursday through Tuesday at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, Lake Lansing Park-North, and Lake Lansing Park-South; and seven days a week at Potter Park.  No vehicle entrance fees will be collected on Wednesdays at all parks, with the exception of Potter Park, or one hour prior to the Friday night Band Shell concert at Lake Lansing Park-South.  Annual passes are valid for one calendar year: January 1st - December 31st.   Annual passes are available for $30 for Ingham County residents and $40 for non-Ingham County residents.  Annual passes are available at all gatehouses.  Ingham County welcomes everyone to our parks.  If paying the vehicle entrance fee would be a hardship, please ask the attendant to waive the fee with a hardship pass.
