Winter Sports Status: click HERE for the most up to date information on winter sports availability for all the parks.

Holiday Hours: the snow tubing hill at Hawk Island will be open for holiday hours for President's Day on Monday, February 18th from 10am-8pm, weather permitting: click HERE to check the status of the hill. Weather permitting, we will have winter activities at Burchfield Park and Lake Lansing North, click HERE to check the status.

Administrative Office:
the administrative office will be closed on Monday, February 18th in observance of President's Day.

Shelter Rentals: Ingham County Parks have picnic shelters that accommodate 50 to 375 people.  Learn which shelter will best meet your group’s needs by calling the parks office or click HERE to review shelter prices, seating accommodations, and pictures of the shelters. Reservations can be made by calling 517-676-2233 Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:30pm (the office is closed at lunch from 12-1pm).

Public Meeting - Ingham County Parks & Recreation Commission

5:30PM at the Human Services Building, Conference Room A, 5303 S. Cedar, Lansing, MI 48911

On February 25, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. the Ingham County Park Commission will host a public meeting at the Human Services Building, Conference Room A, 5303 S. Cedar, Lansing, MI 48911, to seek community input regarding multiple Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund and Land and Water Conservation Fund grant applications for park and accessibility improvements at both Lake Lansing South and Hawk Island County Parks.

We would like to encourage the citizens to share any ideas or suggestions about this project, particularly those with disabilities.  If you are interested, please attend the meeting, or send written comments in advance of the public meeting to the address listed below.

Quiet Water Symposium

Join us at the Quiet Water Symposium!

We are very excited to announce that we will be an exhibitor again, with the 24th Annual Quiet Water Symposium on March 2nd! This event captures outdoor enthusiasts and experts from across and outside of the state, to expound on their experiences and share tips and insights with our attendees. We love the hands-on, personal engagement at this symposium, and we’re excited to meet more friends this year! Come by our booth at the MSU Pavilion on March 2nd!

Winter Warm Up 5K

Hawk Island County Park 
Community partners in health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mid-Michigan and the Playmakers Fitness Foundation will host a free 5K to celebrate participants who have completed the 5K training program on March 24, 2019.

Be a Tourist in Your Own Town

Burchfield Park - Free Parking and Free Pedal Boat Rental w/ Passport 
The Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau has been coordinating this family-friendly, community-building event. Each year seems to reacquaint both visitors and residents with all that Greater Lansing has to offer. By purchasing a “passport” for one dollar, participants (local residents and visitors) are admitted into all participating attraction venues. With your passport you will be admitted to Burchfield Park for FREE and have FREE 1/2 hour pedal boat rental.

Free Friday Night Concerts at the Lake Lansing Community Band Shell. All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. Free parking & admission for all, and free entry for kids to play on a Moonwalk and Giant Slide!

2019 Annual Park Passes Available

Annual 2019 passes, for Ingham County residents are available for $32.  2019 annual passes are valid from purchase date until December 31, 2019.   Non-Ingham County residents passes are $42.   Annual passes are available at all park gatehouses and in the parks office at 121 E. Maple St., Mason. There is a daily per vehicle entrance fee year-round of $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, Lake Lansing Park-North, and Lake Lansing Park-South.  No vehicle entrance fees will be collected one hour prior to the Friday night Band Shell concert at Lake Lansing Park-South.  Ingham County welcomes everyone to our parks.  If paying the vehicle entrance fee would be a hardship, please ask the attendant to waive the fee with a hardship pass.
