Volunteer Opportunities: Looking for opportunities to learn about nature and to improve your favorite park?  We offer flexible volunteer outings for groups and individuals of all ages, please e-mail Emma Jakobcic (ejakobcic@ingham.org) and click HERE for more information.

Shelter Rentals: Ingham County Parks have picnic shelters that accommodate 50 to 375 people.  Learn which shelter will best meet your group’s needs by calling the parks office or click HERE to review shelter prices, seating accommodations, and pictures of the shelters. Reservations can be made by calling 517-676-2233 Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:30pm (the office is closed at lunch from 12-1pm).

Public Meeting - Ingham County Parks & Recreation Commission

5:30PM at the Burchfield Park Winter Sports Building, 881 Grovenburg Road, Holt, Michigan  

On February 20, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. the Ingham County Park Commission will host a public meeting at the Winter Sports Building at Burchfield Park, 881 Grovenburg Rd., Holt, MI 48842, to seek community input regarding multiple Michigan Department of Natural Resources grant applications for park and accessibility improvements at both Lake Lansing South and Burchfield Parks.

We would like to encourage the citizens to share any ideas or suggestions about this project, particularly those with disabilities.  If you are interested, please attend the meeting, or send written comments in advance of the public meeting to the address listed below.

Steps to Freedom 5k

Hawk Island County Park 
Proceeds will go to The House of Promise, an organization dedicated to building a home in the Lansing area that will support young girls from 12 to 22 years old who are recovering from sexual abuse and trafficking.

2018 Annual Park Passes Available

Annual 2018 passes, for Ingham County residents are available for $32.  2018 annual passes are valid from purchase date until December 31, 2018.   Non-Ingham County residents passes are $42.   Annual passes are available at all park gatehouses and in the parks office at 121 E. Maple St., Mason. There is a daily per vehicle entrance fee year-round of $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, Lake Lansing Park-North, and Lake Lansing Park-South.  No vehicle entrance fees will be collected one hour prior to the Friday night Band Shell concert at Lake Lansing Park-South.  Ingham County welcomes everyone to our parks.  If paying the vehicle entrance fee would be a hardship, please ask the attendant to waive the fee with a hardship pass.
