Park Updates

Touch a Truck ~ The Friends of Ingham County Parks will host the third annual Touch a Truck event on Saturday, September 13th, 11am-3pm at Hawk Island County Park.   Kids will love getting close to “BIG RIGS” that they see on the road every day!  This is a chance to touch, “drive”, or take a picture with all sorts of trucks, tractors, and more.   A bounce house, education animals from Potter Park Zoo, disc golf, pet adoption, paint a truck and a straw maze will add to the fun. Click HERE for more information.

Canoe/Kayaking at Burchfield Park ~ canoe/kayak rentals are open for the season on weekends only, weather permitting.  Click HERE for trip times and rental fees.

~ Our beaches are now CLOSED for the season.

Shelter Reservations ~Ingham County Parks have picnic shelters that accommodate 50 to 375 people. Learn which shelter will best meet your group’s needs by calling the parks office at 517-676-2233 or click HERE to make an online reservation.  

  

What You Need to Know

2014 Season Passes Available

There will be a per vehicle entrance fee year-round of $3 for Ingham County residents and $5 for non-residents at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, Lake Lansing Park-North, and Lake Lansing Park-South.  No vehicle entrance fees will be collected one hour prior to the Friday night Band Shell concert at Lake Lansing Park-South.  Annual passes are valid for one calendar year: January 1st - December 31st.   Annual passes are available for $30 for Ingham County residents and $40 for non-Ingham County residents.  Annual passes are available at all gatehouses.  Ingham County welcomes everyone to our parks.  If paying the vehicle entrance fee would be a hardship, please ask the attendant to waive the fee with a hardship pass.

Walk 'N Roll for ALS is a 2 mile walk in which teams raise money to benefit patients with Lou Genghis's disease. All walkers receive t-shirts. Refreshments for breakfast and lunch are provided.
